- (JAN. 9, 2011): Fredison Costa, 33, from Brazil and now living in El Paso, Texas, celebrates Jan. 9, 2011 as he crosses the finish line to win the Walt Disney World Marathon in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. with an unofficial time of 2:21:14. More than 17,500 runners were registered for the annual 26.2-mile run through all four Disney theme parks. (Matt Stroshane, photographer)
- Runners from all 50 states and 60 other countries took part in a variety of Disney Marathon Weekend events, such as the Disney Family Fun Run 5K, Mickey Mile and Mickey Marathon Kids Fest and the Disney Half-Marathon in addition to the Disney Marathon.
- More than 17,000 runners ran through all four Disney World theme parks along the 26.2-mile course, representing all 50 states and 60 other countries. Disney Marathon Weekend events included the Disney Family Fun Run 5K and the Disney Half-Marathon, in addition to the Disney Marathon. Once again, more than 5,000 runners put themselves to the ultimate test - Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge which involved running the half-marathon on Saturday and the marathon on Sunday.

Fredison Costa, 33, from El Paso, Texas, won the overall event with an unofficial time of 2:21:14.
