- American record holder David Oliver (110m) trained at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex with coach Brooks Johnson before heading to Daegu, South Korea to compete in the IAAF World Championships. In 2011, Oliver led the world in the 110m hurdles as the only man to dip below 13 seconds in the event.

Johnson, who has been coaching Olympic athletes since 1968, currently trains American 110mH record holder David Oliver, Tiffany Ross-Willaims (400mH) and several other Olympic hopefuls.
