Fireworks light up the early morning sky Jan. 7, 2012, to mark the start of the 15th Walt Disney World Half Marathon in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Saturday’s 13.1-mile event coursed through Walt Disney World Resort, including routes in the Magic Kingdom and Epcot theme parks. A record 56,000 runners will take part in a variety of Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna events, including the Family Fiesta 5K featuring the Three Caballeros, Mickey Mile and Marathon Kids Fest, along with the half and full marathons.
