LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (Aug. 16, 2011) —The readers of SportsTravel Magazine have spoken. ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex has been selected as a finalist for multiple 2011 SportsTravel Awards. Over the past several months the publication took nominations for youth, amateur and professional sporting events and destinations.

The ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, which hosts over 350 events each year, was named a finalist for three separate events: 2010 AAU Basketball National Championships, 2010 USSSA Elite World Series and the 2011 USA Gymnastics Open Championships.

The award winners will be announced at SportsTravel‘s 2011 TEAMS (Travel, Events and Management in Sports) Conference in Las Vegas on October 6.
