Lake Buena Vista, Fla. (Sept. 12, 2011) — Media Day for the upcoming Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Classic PGA TOUR event will be held at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Sept. 27, 2011. The event, which is held three weeks in advance of the Disney Classic at Walt Disney World Resort, will begin at 11 a.m. in the ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill.
Tournament Director Kevin Weickel, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals representatives, a PGA TOUR player and this year’s “Miracle Story” Ashtyn Brown will be in attendance and available for interviews.
Robert Garrigus, the defending champion, is expected to return to play in this year’s classic. The pro-am, held Oct. 20-21 will feature a variety celebrities including former Buccaneers’ linebacker Derrick Brooks.
Media Day precedes the 41st year of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Classic held at Disney’s Palm and Magnolia courses Oct. 17-23, 2011. Media will have the opportunity to play a complimentary round of golf at Disney’s Magnolia course immediately following the event.
