The Atlanta Braves opened their home spring training schedule on a rainy Wednesday afternoon against the Detroit Tigers at Champion Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Disney. The Braves led at various times, including 5-4 going into the ninth inning. But the Tigers’ Hernan Perez drove in two runs in the top of the ninth with a clutch two-out double to give the Tigers a 6-5 lead. The Tigers held off the Braves from there to win the game when rain washed out the action before the final out.
The Braves go on the road before returning Friday to Disney for a home game against the Houston Astros under the lights. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:05 pm
