Lake Buena Vista, Fla. (May 9, 2017) — Tennis superstar Serena Williams channeled her inner Na’vi during a sneak peek at Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Williams explored the newest themed land at Walt Disney World Resort, which immerses guests in a mystical world of massive floating mountains, bioluminescent rainforests and two breathtaking new attractions, Na’vi River Journey and Avatar Flight of Passage. Last October, Williams also visited Walt Disney World Resort and spent some time having fun with Princess Merida at Magic Kingdom Park. During that visit, Williams said she can identify with Merida for her strength and fearlessness.

Arguably the greatest female athlete of all time, Williams — who is currently the world’s No. 2-ranked player and reigning Australian Open champion — surpassed Steffi Graf’s record of 22 career Grand Slam singles titles in January, when Williams defeated her sister, Venus, to secure her 23rd title.
