- While vacationing at Walt Disney World Resort, Brazilian soccer star Marcelo, who plays as Real Madrid’s defensive anchor, shows off his moves June 30, 2015 with youth athletes participating in the Disney Soccer Academy at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Disney Soccer Academy, the annual two-week event, offers players the opportunity to train on world-class fields with international soccer stars, including English Premier League pros.
- The Pop Warner National Cheer and Dance Championships, held Dec. 3-10, 2011 at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort, featured more than 400 cheer and dance squads in four divisions. Martial arts is just one of the 70 different sports the 230-acre complex accommodates, including martial arts, soccer, volleyball, track and field, basketball and lacrosse.
