Global Cup Features Former NBA Players, International Teams

Former NBA and WNBA players will host teams from seven regions in inaugural International Basketball Global Cup at ESPN Wide World of Sports

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Former NBA and WNBA players are lending their expertise to youth basketball teams from around the globe in the inaugural International Basketball Global Cup at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort.

The tournament will feature 32 boys and girls teams from seven regions – Australia, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, the Philippines and the U.S. Players will have the opportunity to train with Anthony Parker (NBA), Pat Burke (NBA), Tree Rollins (NBA/WNBA Coach), Shell Dailey (WNBA), Derrick Sharp (International Pro player), and Eric Dailey (NBA, International Pro player).

The week-long event includes five days of hands-on training in ball-handling skills as well as yoga and nutrition, along with international competition in the Global Cup tournament. The championship game will be held on Aug. 18.
