Live Fantasy Football Now Telecast from ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (Aug. 19, 2014) - The ESPN Fantasy Football Convention will take place this Friday, Aug. 22 and Saturday, Aug. 23 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
The inaugural event brings together ESPN commentators and fantasy football fans to Walt Disney World. Fans will stage their fantasy football drafts with guidance from the ESPN team, as well as attend a tailgate party and chili cook-off featuring Disney chefs, a live telecast of ESPN’s Fantasy Football Now show on Saturday at 10 a.m. ET on ESPN2, an autograph session, a question-and-answer session with ESPN commentators sponsored by Champion and a character breakfast.
Media interested in covering the event should contact either ESPN Communications or Disney Public Relations by Thursday at 5 p.m. ET to request credentials. ESPN’s Robert Flores, Matthew Berry, Stephania Bell and Sara Walsh, all of Fantasy Football Now, NFL Insiders Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter, host Trey Wingo, analyst Mark Schlereth and Insider KC Joyner will all be available to the media at 6:45 p.m. ET on Friday. Former NFL running back Edgerrin James and event spokespeople will also be available at this time.
Attendees are welcome to participate in the tailgate event following the media availability.
