Former Bucs Kicker Martin Gramatica Coaching Elite Youth Soccer at Disney Boys Soccer Showcase

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (December 30, 2022) Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Super Bowl winning kicker, Martin Gramatica is now helping kids pursue their sports dreams at Walt Disney World Resort. Gramatica, 47, is the head coach of the West Florida Flames East Lake, an elite youth soccer team based in the Tampa, Florida area. This year, the West Florida Flames competed in the U19 Championship division in the Disney Boys Soccer Showcase at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex December 27-31, 2022.  

The Boys Soccer Showcase is an invitation only tournament featuring some of the best youth soccer teams in the United States. The event draws college and professional scouts to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in search of upcoming soccer talent. 

Gramatica’s team lost their first game of the tournament to Tampa Bay United on Wednesday, December 28. But they bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Asphalt Green, one of several teams competing that traveled to Walt Disney World Resort from New York. The West Florida Flames finished their experience at this year’s Disney Boys Soccer Showcase with a 1-1 draw against Northern Virginia University Academy.
