LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (April 13, 2023) – Thousands of runners from around the country are descending on Central Florida for the 2023 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend at Walt Disney World Resort. Runners stopped by the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex today, which kicks off the four-day race weekend.

Doors opened at 10 a.m. for the Expo, where runners picked up their race bibs and shirts, and shopped for popular runDisney merchandise as well as the latest products designed to help enhance runners’ fitness and nutrition.

Many participants had an early morning as race weekend began earlier today with runDisney Springtime Surprise Yoga, offering participants the opportunity to stretch, relax and prepare for the race weekend by practicing yoga at Disney’s Hollywood Studios before the park officially opened to guests.

The race weekend, which features beloved Pixar characters, continues Friday with the Disney Pixar Cars 5K, Saturday’s Disney Pixar Monsters 10K and the Disney Pixar Toy Story 10-Miler on Sunday. Also included in the event are the runDisney Springtime Surprise Challenge (all three distances) and a virtual component to each race.

runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend is the fourth and final on-site race weekend during the 2022-23 runDisney season. Beginning this summer, the runDisney Summer Virtual Series takes place from June – August 2023 with general registration beginning April 25.
